Them Crooked Vultures – Mind Eraser, No Chaser

Yes, that is Brody and baby Homme

Them Crooked Vultures is an interesting proposition indeed. Combining the bassist of the biggest rock band of the 70’s, the drummer of the biggest rock band of the 90’s and the lead guitarist/singer/ of one of the most critically acclaimed rock bands of the 00’s, they certainly have a certain amount of expectation hanging over their heads.

I must admit when i first heard about this it felt the equivalent of someone forming a Justice League/Avengers style crimefighting team with Bruce Lee, Andre The Giant and Patrick Swayze’s character from Roadhouse. The three greatest at what they do, together at last. We will need to wait until November 17th (16th for the UK) to find out if their eponymous debut lives up to the hype. Until then, shake your booty like it’s your duty to this, the second song from the aforementioned album.

  1. I’m yet to hear the entire album, but the singles are sounding pretty good. Probably not as mind blowing as I would have liked, but still pretty good.

I got it yesterday, it’s pretty good. There are some great riffs but to be honest it doesn’t hold up to Queens best stuff. Still fun though.
